At Engines Direct Distributors, we stand behind the products we offer. That’s why every remanufactured engine, transmission, or component comes with a Premium Limited Warranty, issued exclusively to the original purchaser.
We guarantee our products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship — when properly installed and maintained — for the duration of the warranty period listed below.
🔒 What’s Covered
Depending on your application, warranty coverage varies as follows:
🚗 Engines & Transmissions Warranty
(Whichever comes first – time or mileage)
36 Months / 100,000 Miles – Passenger Cars, Police Vehicles, Light Trucks up to ¾ ton
24 Months / 24,000 Miles – Trucks 1 Ton and Over
12 Months / 12,000 Miles – Taxis, Supercharged Vehicles (e.g., Ford Mustang Cobra, GT, F-150 Lightning, Harley Davidson Pickups)
3 Months – Stationary, Agricultural, and Industrial Applications
12 Months – Marine Engines
Motorhomes
Class B & C (GM/Dodge chassis): 3 Years / 100,000 Miles (up to ¾ ton) | 2 Years / 24,000 Miles (1 ton)
Class A (purpose-built chassis over 11,000 lb GVW): 6 Months / 12,000 Miles, Parts Only
🚫 Emergency service vehicles and high-rail railroad vehicles are excluded from coverage.
⚠️ What’s Not Covered
Our Limited Warranty does not apply in the following cases:
Engine not registered within 30 days of installation
Use in racing, off-road, emergency service, propane/alternative fuel without proper conversion
Improper installation or setup (e.g., wrong oil pump, valve body, or torque converter)
Lack of proper maintenance, overheating, detonation, or poor lubrication
Use of improper fluids or failure to follow OEM specs
Accessories and components not related to the failure (sensors, cooling parts, etc.)
Commercial losses, towing, rentals, storage, downtime, or inconvenience
Failures outside of the contiguous USA
💰 Limited Warranty Claims & Payment Policy
All warranty claims must be authorized before any repairs or replacements are performed. Unauthorized work will not be reimbursed.
📞 When Contacting Us, Please Have:
Engine or transmission serial number
Engine or part number
Date & mileage at installation and current mileage
Vehicle make, model, year, VIN, and plate number
Detailed description of the problem
📄 Required Documents:
Original and current repair orders
Parts invoices used for repairs
Service/maintenance records
Warranty authorization number
⏱️ Claims must be submitted within 30 days. Labor invoices submitted after 30 days from the last claim action will not be reimbursed.

All reimbursements are subject to inspection and approval by the Remanufacturer.

Liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the purchase price of the engine, transmission, or component. The Remanufacturer is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Warranty duration is limited to the time period stated. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of incidental damages, so certain restrictions may not apply.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights — and you may have others depending on your state.
